Vessa was born during one of the biggest turning points of my life. After several years building EcoStar Pressure Washing, I'd reached a point where the business was finally successful — providing for my family, letting my wife leave her job to stay home. From the outside, everything looked like it was going according to plan.
Inside, I knew something wasn't right. I no longer loved what I was building.
Around that same time, my wife and I found out we were expecting our first child. That news changed everything. It forced me to ask a question I'd been avoiding:
Is this really what I want to spend the rest of my life doing?
Not long after, we joined a Bible study working through the book Leading Yourself. One of the first challenges was to discover your purpose — an honest look at your strengths, weaknesses, experiences, and passions. At the end, we were asked to write a personal mission statement.
After reflecting on everything God had taught me through business, failure, and personal finance, I wrote these words:
"Use the lessons I've learned in business and personal finance to help young men build businesses that honor God, create lasting wealth, and expand His Kingdom."
That statement became the foundation for Vessa.
To understand why this mission means so much to me, you have to go back to the beginning of 2023. At the time, I was still living with my parents, trying to make EcoStar work. Like many seasonal businesses, winter was brutal — the work almost disappeared, but the bills didn't. Eventually, I ran out of money. To keep the business alive, I sold equipment and personal belongings just to pay my bills. The stress became overwhelming — I remember losing so much hair I thought I was going bald, only to realize later it was the pressure I was carrying every day. It was one of the lowest seasons of my life.
My relationship with God was still new back then. I didn't yet have the spiritual foundation I have today, and I often felt like I was carrying the weight of everything on my own.
But God was faithful. Over the next few years, He strengthened my faith, grew my character, and blessed my business beyond what I imagined. EcoStar became profitable, supported my family, and gave us opportunities I never thought possible.
Yet even after reaching many of the goals I'd been chasing, I still felt unfulfilled. I realized
I wasn't looking for a bigger pressure washing company. I was looking for a greater purpose.
That's what led me to build an online business — one with lower overhead, greater flexibility, and the ability to spend more time with my family while creating something that aligned with my gifts. More importantly, it let me pursue the mission God had placed on my heart.
Today, Vessa exists to help young men who feel like I once did — uncertain about their future, struggling financially, and searching for meaningful work. My goal isn't simply to help people make more money. It's to help them build businesses they genuinely enjoy, create lasting wealth with biblical stewardship, and use that success to faithfully support their families, serve others, and expand the Kingdom of God.
